Todd Zongker - Bio
Todd Zongker was born and raised in North Central New Mexico. He moved to California in 1986, drawn there by his love for movies and his passion for writing. Working in retail, at a hotel, and answering phones in a downtown law firm paid the bills while Todd searched for that "in." After finally landing a job as Production Assistant for a TV Production company, it wasn't long before Todd was hired as the post production runner on a film for TriStar Pictures. It was in that cutting room that Todd found what he had been looking for and he knew that editing was his calling. He parked himself at the elbows of the first and second assistants, offering to help in any way possible, begging to be taught how to rewind film or run the Acmade coding machine that sat smoking in the corner. Fortunately for Todd, like most cutting rooms there was plenty of work to go around and the assistants were happy to teach him as much as he wanted. Todd became a member of IATSE Local 700, the Editor's Guild, in 1993 on CORRINA, CORRINA when Whoopi Goldberg refused to come out of her dressing room until the show went union. "I have been really fortunate over the last twenty years to work with and learn from some of the most wonderful and talented editors in the industry. This career has allowed me to travel and work in cities that I only dreamed of visiting one day. Editorial is my life and I'm truly grateful to all the people I have worked with and been taught by."
